Seamless Photo and PBR Texture Creation
Confused about the PBR workflow? Don't be. This step by step tutorial takes you through the process of creating your own seamless PBR photo textures.
It starts with how to get quality material (the photos) and then goes through the seamless texture creation process. Colour, normal, roughness, metallic and displacement are all covered, using the open source trio GIMP, darktable and Blender, although the process applies to any decent image editors and 3D software.
It's broken down into easily manageable steps, to avoid confusion and being overwhelmed.
As well as the traditional image maps, procedural options are also discussed and illustrated, along with some shader editor tips for enhanced control.
It's released under the freemium model - pay what you want.
